Find Me in Here. QCAF grant!
After three months of leaving aside worries about my upcoming dance project, Find Me in Here, I just got word that I have been awarded the Queens Community Arts Fund (QCAF) grant that will help me fund the project in style! And after all my griping about character limits...Anyway, I'm jumping in (holiday style! nothing like working during vacation) and getting organized. My first objectives are to write a proper project description and to find dancers. I should have the description posted before I leave Florida on Monday and I'll be posting an audition notice first thing in 2009.
Dancers! The grant is designed to support projects that involve the Queens communities (mine specifically focuses on Astoria/LIC) and so I'm particularly interested in working with Queens artists. Know someone? Interested yourself? Email me at esthermpalmer at gmail.
