It continues to be fun to be an outside observer of a long-term creative process, especially in a medium in which I am completely unfamiliar. It's satisfying to see the concrete benefit that art can give to individuals and eventually to more. Exploring ideas in our brains, and having it be ok and valid. Thanks for sharing!

I am exploring how performance heightens philosophical connections between people. I founded Seen Performance (seenperformance.org) with David Morneau and Shana McKay Burns to help define this process through cross-disciplinary collaboration. While earning my MFA in Dance and Technology from The Ohio State University, I developed an approach to creating performance through methodologies borrowed from disciplines outside dance. Early in my training, I studied improvisation at Middlebury College with Penny Campbell, who practices it as a compositional form. This idea influenced me to think about dance beyond the immediate body, which has led directly to crafting audience design as part of my performances.
